With a biochemistry degree from the University of Toronto and a visual arts degree from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, Hong Kong-based artist Angela Su creates pseudo-scientific drawings of plants with a mythical aesthetic to challenge the viewer’s perception of the body and technology. The meticulous illustrations, along with the compact script, are the fruits of her impassioned self-reflection and an exploration of the dividing line between the empirical and allegorical.
