SPECIALIST'S NOTES
Hu Zhang (1848-1899), courtesy name Tiemei, was a native of Tongcheng, Anhui province. He was good at painting landscape, figures and flowers.

The Collection is from the family of an old private collector in Kanazawa, Japan. Part of the Collection is featured in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy to be sold on 28 November, Lots 1029-1036.
