The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The paper of the painting is discoloured with scatted mould spots.
- There are several horizontal creases across the painting, and a small tear in the lower left of the painting on an unpainted area of the paper.
- There are two discoloured areas in the lower left and lower right of the painting, predominantly impacting the silk mounting. The silk mounting on the lower left is torn.
- There are very slight mould spots in the paper of the calligraphic inscription mounted above the painting.
- An historic title slip is attached to the backing paper on the reverse of the frame.
