Lot Essay

Shen Yangong, who styled himself as Zanqing, was the grandson of Shen Baozhen. He was accomplished in both calligraphy and painting, the former of which he modelled after that of Qian Feng, and the latter of which he specialised in landscape painting. Shen was also gifted in penning traditional poems.
