Provenance
He Man’an, born in Panyu, Guangdong Province, was an important collector of Chinese paintings and calligraphy in the region of Lingnan. The name of his studio was Lingbi Shanfang and he was especially fond of collecting works by artists in the Lingnan region.

Wang Qiumei was a famous calligrapher in the Republican Period. Born in Panyu, Guangdong, he attended Aurora University in Shanghai, and later joined Tongmenghui. Throughout his lifetime although he started many businesses, including publishing newspapers. He studied calligraphy for over forty years, and was most famous for Cursive Clerical script.
