Lot Essay

Wu Dacheng was a scholar, an epigraphy scholar, a calligrapher, and an official at the late Qing Dynasty. He was skilled in Chinese paintings, calligraphy, authentication, and interpretation of ancient Chinese characters. His calligraphy combined seal script and bronze script to create his own unique style.
