Lot Essay

Ms. Wong Hau Ling is an art enthusiast and studies Chinese calligraphy. She became friends with several artists and calligraphers in the early 1980s, including Tai Jingnong, and received several works from them. Three more Tai Jingnong’s works from this collection are also available in Christie’s Fine Chinese Modern Paintings sale on 28 May 2019 (Lots 1356-1358).
