Lot Essay

Yi Fujiu was named Hai, courtesy name Fujiu. A native of Wuxing in Zhejiang, he was good at landscape painting and his works were highly acclaimed in Japan. Yi, together with Fei Qinghu, Jiang Dalai and Zhang Qiugu, was known as one of the Four Chinese Masters in Japan.
