Lot Essay

The recipient of these works was Fu Bingchang (1895-1965), a famous Chinese diplomat. He was one of the first graduates of engineering of the University of Hong Kong (1916), and later joined the Republican government. He was ambassador to the Soviet Union in the 1940s. After the Second World War, Fu attended the Paris Peace Conference as China’s representative. After returning to Taiwan, Fu served as vice president of the Judicial Court.
