NOTE: A native of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, Zou Yigui styled himself as Yuanbao and was a graduate of the civil service examination in the Qing Dynasty. Zou was a politician and a painter who was skilled in poetry and painting; while he painted landscapes, he was particularly accomplished in gongbi flower paintings.
