Dedicated to Bingchang and Madame Yubing

Specialist Note:
These Ding Yanyong and Xiao Lisheng works is part of the collection of Ms. Ma Yubing, one of the students of the two artists while they were teaching at New Asia College, which later became the Fine Arts Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Ma studied under the two artists in the late 1960s and received the paintings from the artists. Since then She has moved to the United States with her husband Bingchang, and have remained in close contact with the artists. The husband and wife also acquired seals directly from Ding Yanyong, which was published in Seals Collection of Ting Yin Yung (pp.102, 106, pl. 364, 365, 379). Xiao Lisheng visited their home in Oakland and gifted them a Dharma painting in 1978 (LOT 1656).
