The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both:
- fritting and chips to the mouth rim
- kiln grit adhesions to foot rim and base
- a chip to the foot rim
Bowl:
- a few iron spots, short firing cracks, kiln grit adhesions and glaze gaps to both interior and exterior
- an unglazed ring mark to the base, which is original to the manufacture
Dish:
- two hairlines extended from the mouth rim to the body
- some kiln grit adhesions to the interior
- glaze gaps and a firing flaw to the exterior
- short firing cracks and burst glaze bubbles to the base
