The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Stem dish:
- appears to be in overall good condition
- rubbing to the gilt decoration
- '3794' inscribed in black enamel on the base
Bowl:
- a hairline extending from the mouth rim
- a faint and short glaze line to the mouth rim
- nicks and chips to the foot
- some discoloration to the glaze
- there may be an area of coating on the exterior
