The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- polished kiln grits, iron spots and light scratches to the interior
- a few short firing cracks and iron spots to the exterior
- expected light surface abrasion and scratches to the exterior, and to the later added enamels
- the later added enamel decorations may have been used to cover firing flaws
- a ring shaped firing crack, a firing flaw and an area of irregularity to the base
