A JIANYAO 'HARE’S FUR’ TEA BOWL
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The bowl has deep sides and is covered on both the interior and exterior with a black glaze streaked with 'hare’s fur’ markings fading to russet brown at the rim and pooling above the foot rim to reveal the coarse ware fired to a dark brown color.
