A LARGE LONGQUAN CELADON CARVED DISH
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The dish is heavily potted with an everted rim. The center is carved with a central floral spray below a band of narrow fluted petals in the wall. The dish is covered in a glaze of olive-toned sea-green color with the exception of the unglazed firing ring on the base.
17 7/8 in. (45.5 cm.) diam.
