We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- a long hairline crack extending from a polished kiln grit on the interior to the exterior near the foot
- two parallel hairline cracks extends from the exterior of the foot to the mouth rim
- another scoop-form hairline crack extends from a firing crack neat the foot to a firing flaw on the exterior
- the dish is warped, which is typical for dishes of this size
- a few iron spots, polished kiln grit adhesion, and burst glaze bubbles to the interior
- a few glaze gaps, kiln grit adhesion and illegible characters written in black enamel on the base
- foot rim has been lightly buffed
- expected surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and use
