The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- some frits and surface chips, particularly to the mouth and foot rims
- some short firing cracks with associated chips, particularly to the interior
- few burst glazed bubbles
- a star-crack to the base
- chips and nicks on the foot
- glaze is crawled on interior of mouth and neck
- some area of discoloration to the glaze
- some small areas of possible overpainting to the mouth
