A PAINTED RED POTTERY FIGURE OF AN EQUESTRIENNE
TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The rider is seated on a horse standing foursquare, with her left hand positioned as if to hold reins, and her head slightly turned to the right. She wears a long tunic and her hair is dressed in a topknot. There are traces of black, red and white pigment.
