We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All vases have drilled holes on the back for hanging, which are original
the susancai vases:
-both with faint firing cracks, light surface abrasion and scratches, and chips to edges and raised decorations
the lacquer vases:
-both are affixed to stands
-both with loses to lacquer, some of the lacquer have been refreshed
-both with light surface abrasion and scratches
-both with expected minute nicks and chips to the raised decorations, edges and extremities
-one has a large chip to the lower gourd and next to the drilled hole
-the other has a repaired crack to the base
