A QINGBAI STEMCUP AND STAND
SONG DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY
The rounded cup is raised on a spreading pedestal foot. The stand is of dish form with an everted rim raised on a broad, flared pedestal foot and centered by a raised platform surmounted by a ring to hold the cup. Both cup and stand are covered in a glaze of pale greenish-blue tone with suffused crackle. Together with a small qingbai lobed bowl, 11th-12th century, molded on the interior with floral patterns, covered overall with a glaze of aquamarine color.
4 3/8 and 4 ¼ in. (11.1 and 10.8 cm.) diam.
