The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
all: expected light surface wear and scratches consistent with age and use
the smallest:
- a few hairlines extending from the mouth rim to the body with some associated repainting
- two sections have been restuck with associated repair
- a small glaze gap to the exterior
- some kiln grit adhesion to the foot rim
larger:
- a section of the mouth rim has been polished possibly due to fritting
- a firing crack to the base near the foot
largest:
- tiny bumps and burst glaze bubble to the interior
- kiln grit adhesion to the foot rim and base
- a few frits, iron spot and burst glaze bubbles to the mouth rim
