The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel is made up of three horizontally joined boards. The joins have been strengthened with butterfly joints to the reverse. There is evidence of previous cradeling, and the board has been slightly thinned. There is a slight bow to the panel. The panel remians stable. Examination in natural light shows some evidence of the upper panel join, with associated restoration. Examination under UV light confirms the aforemention restoration. There is also restorattion along the lower panel join. There has been some retouching to the brown tones in the upper right-hand quadrant, as well as some further scattered retouching. The paint remains stable and the deftness of execution appreciable.
