The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Charcoal on paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount in places at the upper edge. Some light-staining and discolouration mainly visible along the extreme edges. One minute artist's tack hole at the centre of the right edge. A short vertical crease (approx. 3 cm. long) towards the upper left edge. Some handling marks and surface dirt in places. The charcoal is strong and fresh throughout. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Fusain sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières sur le bord supérieur à un carton de montage. Insolation et décoloration de la feuille principalement visible à l'extrémité des bords. Un minuscule trou de punaise fait par l'artiste au centre du bord droit. Une petite froissure verticale (approx. 3 cm.) vers la partie supérieure du bord gauche. Des froissures dues à la manipulation et salissure de surface par endroits. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
