The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

watercolour on paper (recto); pen and ink on paper (verso). The reverse of the sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the mat support. The right edge serrated, consistent with removing from the artist's sketchbook. The extreme lower left corner with a small skilfully repaired tear. A vertical skilfully stabilised flattened fold towards the left part of the composition. A few soft creases towards the lower edge. Some pale discolouration of the sheet, associated with a few scattered spots of foxing in places. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Aquarelle (recto); plume et encre sur papier (verso). Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières sur les coins supérieurs à un carton de montage. Le bord droit est perforé, ce qui est du au fait que l'oeuvre ait été retirée d'un carnet à dessins. Une petite déchirure réparée avec soin sur le coin inférieur gauche. Une pliure aplatie verticale stabilisée avec soin vers la partie gauche de la composition. Quelques rares froissures légères vers le bord inférieur. Légère décoloration de la feuille, associée à quelques piqûres éparses par endroits. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
