The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pencil on paper. The sheet is set loosely in the frame. The composition has been executed on the reverse of a yellow envelope. The left and right edges are uneven. A thin paper strip - corresponding to the envelop flap - has been attached along the lower edge and has been partially removed, probably before the artist executed the drawing. A staple to the centre of the upper edge. Some pale surface dirt in the lower left quadrant, associated with small stains and spots of foxing. Some pale surface abrasion to the pencil in the upper right corner. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Graphite sur papier. La feuille n’est pas montée, elle est restée libre. Le dessin est réalisé sur le revers d’une enveloppe jaune formée par deux morceaux de papier assemblés verticalement au centre de la composition. Les bords gauche et droit sont irréguliers. Une bande de papier jaune, qui correspond au rabat permettant de cacheter l’enveloppe est collé le long du bord inférieur et a été partiellement arraché, probablement avant que l’artiste ne décide d’utiliser ce support. Une agrafe en métal est insérée dans le papier au centre du bord supérieur. Le papier est légèrement sali dans la partie inférieure gauche avec des taches brunes et des rousseurs et les traits de graphite légèrement frotté dans l’angle supérieur droit. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
