The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Partially glazed painted terracotta vase. Some surface dirt. Some areas of rubbing, some associated with small chips on the rim. A few small areas of surface abrasion, handling marks, and superficial scuffs, mainly at the centre of the vase and corresponding to age and handling, a very few associated with small pigment losses in places. A very few scattered small spots of foxing in places, inherent to the firing process. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Vase en terre cuite peinte et partiellement émaillée. Salissure de surface. Des zones d'usures associées à de petits éclats sur le bord du vase. Quelques rares zones d'abrasion de surface, marques dues à la manipulation et éraflures superficielles, principalement au centre du vase et correspondant à l'âge et la manipulation, certaines associées à de rares petits manques de peinture par endroits. Quelques très rares petites piqûres éparses par endroits, inhérentes au processus de cuisson. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
