With a farm in Putney, Vermont, Charles Ginnever was a neighbor of Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason in Vermont and a close friend. Untitled [Maquette] was displayed on Kahn and Mason’s coffee table at their New York City apartment on 15th Street.
A larger example of this work was exhibited in the Park Place Gallery in 1966 and at the artist’s New York City studio when he showed in the 1968 ‘10 Downtown’ exhibition. His works are often characterized by their flatness and play with the notions of space and perspective.
