Felix Pasilis studied under Hans Hofmann alongside Wolf Kahn in the late 1940s. In 1951, Kahn organized the 813 Broadway Exhibition, including Pasilis' work, which gave rise to the artists' cooperative Hansa Gallery.

The first not framed and adhered to a mat window at the extreme edges, with minor surface soiling and light staining, slight undulation to the sheet and a small tear to the left edge and another to the extreme lower left corner. The second not framed, with surface soiling and light staining. With scattered tiny tears to the edges. With several artist tack holes to each corner and particularly to the two upper corners. Another tack hole in the upper left quadrant. The reverse with old tape affixed to the lower corners. Minor rubbing to the medium.
