The board is slightly bowed. Minor losses and wear along the extreme edges in the margins. Two vertical surface abrasions, one approximately 51⁄2 in. at left through the pear, and one approximately 11⁄2 in. in the foreground to the right of the pear. Two horizontal surface abrasions, one 2 in. and the other 3 in., in the background in the upper register. Scattered pinpoint losses in the background. Under ultraviolet light, no apparent inpainting and an uneven varnish.
