The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The board is slightly bowed. Minor losses and wear along the extreme edges in the margins. Two vertical surface abrasions, one approximately 5¹⁄₂ in. at left through the pear, and one approximately 1¹⁄₂ in. in the foreground to the right of the pear. Two horizontal surface abrasions, one 2 in. and the other 3 in., in the background in the upper register. Scattered pinpoint losses in the background. Under ultraviolet light, no apparent inpainting and an uneven varnish.
