On arrival at Christie’s, you will be greeted with a champagne and canapé reception. This will be followed by a sumptuous three-course meal in Christie’s main salerooms, where you’ll have first viewing of Christie’s spring Impressionist/Modern Art sale.

Post-Sale

Successful bidders will be contacted by the Financial Times via email, and will be required to remit payment and provide the names of their guests and all dietary requirements no later than Thursday, 23 January 2014.

Gillian de Bono joined the Financial Times in 1994 to set up a magazine department following the success of a trial issue of How to Spend It for FT Weekend. Previously, she spent 13 years launching, relaunching and editing women’s glossy magazines.

Ms. de Bono spent her formative journalist years at Consumers’ Association, publishers of Which? magazine where, as a writer, she won the first Rosemary Goodchild Award in 1986 for the year’s best article on women’s health. She has received three British Society of Magazine Editors awards – as Launch Editor of the Year in 1986 for Essentials magazine and as Newspaper Magazine Editor of the Year in 1999 and 2004 for How to Spend It.

How to Spend It was voted Colour Supplement of the Year at the 2013 Newspaper Awards, the thirteenth time the magazine has won this award. How To Spend It is also the only colour supplement to have won all three major industry awards in a single year: The British Press Awards 2004, the British Society of Magazine Editors 2004 and The 2004 Newspaper Awards.

All proceeds from the sale of this lot will be paid to World Child Cancer.
