The back of the piece is flat and unmodelled and broken away at the lower legs. A large flaked chip to the surface of the proper right arm, from bicep tp hand. Other flaked chips to surface, eg. at lower edge of piece along the break line, over the higher areas of shaggy coat of his goat-legs, both pectoral muscles, and the muscles, mostly on the proper left side of his stomach, and to his proper left hand. Proper right half of his genetalia now chipped away. Old worn surface chips over his face affecting nose, middle of forehead and proper left side of beard. similar old worn chips to top of head. Overall the surface with minor wear and patches of reddish-brown coloured surface dirt encrustation. Underside of piece drilled and fitted with metal collar for attachment to tang on marble base.
