Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In generally good condition overall. There are the inevitable minor marks, surface scratches, knocks and wear consistent with age and handling. Traces of old black colouring to the crevices. A small loss to the base of the skull-carved side near the metal boss. The silver filigree slightly tarnished and dented. Th central pin appears to be a later replacement. As catalogued, on a modern bespoke metal stand.
