The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This intriguing and decorative cabinet is in good condition overall.
There are the inevitable minor scratches, scuffs and markings consistent with age and use.
There are a number of minor knocks, chips, losses and lifting to veneers and inlay in particular to the top left and right side, but this does not detract from the piece too much.
As stated in the cataloguing, the painted panels are later and have a small number of knocks, chips and losses to the surfaces. There is minor craquelure to the surfaces. There are shrinkage splits visible to the interior panels.
The brass mounts are slightly tarnished, but are present. There are one or two minor losses to the parquetry to the reverse.
Otherwise structurally stable and ready to use.
