Sharing the adventures of "Anne with an 'e'" as she is sent to live on the farm of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, Anne of Green Gables still remains a popular and enduring work among "kindred spirits" in the U.S., Canada, and abroad. Octavo. Half title, frontipiece. Illustrations by M.A. and W.A.J. Claus. Original gilt-stamped olive ribbed cloth, mounted pictorial label (lightly rubbed at extremities). Provenance: Miss Dora Nelson (ownership inscription dated 1908).
