First edition in English. The ornamental woodcut device on title-page cut for this edition (McKerrow 375). STC 916; Pforzheimer 19.

Folio (293 × 185mm). Woodcut device on title-page (without first and final blanks, title-page and table soiled, small repair in N2, tear in 3B2, some edges chipped, stained). Contemporary English panelled calf, central ornament tooled in gold (rebacked, rubbed with some losses at edges, few scratches and stains). Provenance: few contemporary annotations – contemporary ownership inscription on title-page (deleted) – G. Ledes (early inscription on title-page).
