CYPRIAN, Saint, Bishop of Carthage (d.258 A.D.) and Desiderius ERASMUS, ed. (1466-1536). Opera Sanctissimi Martyris Caecilii Cypriani Episcopi Carthaginensis. Basel: Johann Froben, 1525.

The complete works of one of the first great Christian writers in Latin, collected by Erasmus. Saint Cyprian's prolific and important writings explored early Christian theology and practices. Adams C-3151.

Folio (304 x 208mm). (Faint tidemark to one gathering, a couple short tears). Contemporary blindstamped calf (remnants of clasps, front board detached, spine reinforced with tape). Provenance: Hendrik van Zanten, warden of the college and school at Delft — presented by him to the college, 26 March 1605 (presentation inscription on title) – library markings and bookplate.
