The fourth edition of the New Testament of Sauer's popular Bible. Christoph Saur was the first German-language printer and publisher in North America. The first edition of his bible was printed in 1743. Evans 9347.

12mo (162 x 92mm). Fraktur type set in double columns (a few leaves with small losses, light soiling, or short splits; two leaves with losses affecting some text; lacking last leaf of text as well as 3 pp. "Register der Episteln und Evangelien"). Calf-backed boards (worn, remnants of clasps, split at spine, front endpaper detached). Provenance: shelf-marks to spine and front pastedown.
