20 parts in 19, octavo (222 x 143mm). 40 etched plates by “Phiz” [H.K. Browne]. Half-title, majority of advertisements present and all preliminary pages present (part 4 lacking “Lett’s Diaries” back advertisement, parts 9–11 lacking back advertisements, part 13 lacking slip, part 16 slip preceding plates, heavy browning to some plates as usual, occasional minor foxing or stains). Original blue-green pictorial wrappers (backstrips renewed, parts 7, 11, 12, 14 and 15 with lower wrappers supplied from other copies, few tears to wrappers which are mostly repaired, usual mild soiling).
