One of 20 copies with an original drawing and the plates in three states, bound by René Kieffer.
The total edition was 250 copies, just 20 of which have an original drawing and 50 of which have the plates in three states. This copy is out of series.

Quarto (285 x 200mm). Original watercolor and pen and ink drawing bound in at front, 225 x 155mm, titled "La Cathédrale de Chartres, rue de la Place Marceau," and signed by the artist lower right. Illustrated with etchings in three states, two of which are hors-texte with remarques, often incorporating pictorial initials. Full crushed morocco extra stamped in gilt and with a wide border featuring bouquets of lilies, executed in green, white and brown morocco inlay, spine similarly gilt and inlaid with blue morocco gilt lettering pieces, stamp-signed by Kieffer on upper turn-in, top edge gilt, others uncut, patterened silk endleaves (spine and upper cover sunned, splashmark on upper cover); morocco-edged slipcase.
