Modern red morocco signed by Canape with original wrappers and backstrips bound in, top edge gilt, uncut; slipcase. [Bound With:] Autograph letter signed, "G. Flaubert," to an unnamed recipient, n.d., Croisset. Regarding encouraging their mutual friend [Victor] Hugo to contribute to a subscription for a monument.
