A detailed map, dominated by the Republic of Texas. Texas is shown here with a huge panhandle, extending as far north as the mouth of the Arkansas River and sharing a northwestern border with Upper California. The southeastern border is at the Sabine River. Wheat, Transmississippi West 459.

Engraved map hand-colored in outline, inset detail of "Mexico, Shewing its connection with the Ports of Acapulco, Vera Cruz, & Tampico, on double the scale of the map," 490 x 610mm sight size (even toning, short edge tear at top). Matted and framed (unexamined out of frame).
