此手繪輿圖所畫為清代南宮縣治，摺叠後封面上見圖名“南宮縣輿圖”並中滿雙語“南宮縣印”，可知此圖為清代南宮縣官方所製用，輿圖右上方所附題記亦含“謹”、“呈送”等恭詞。該題記以南宮縣地理村戶概況開篇，主體為縣城四至八到道里數目端詳，亦即本幅輿圖重點呈現内容。圖中以墨色虛綫自南宮縣城點繪七條道路通往四方八面，並繪途中所過村莊作爲定位據點，道路末端注明所抵縣界，再沿路黏附寫有道路名稱的紅底黑字紙條。此圖上南下北，構圖與道光十一年（1831）刊刻《南宮縣志》中的《南宮縣河道圖》極爲相似，此河道圖不見于前一版縣志（康熙十二年，1673），但於後一版（光緒三十年，1904）中留存，以此推想本拍品斷代上限為1831年前後。
