Lot Essay

A derivative of Spacewar!, the game features an instantly recognizable premise of controlling a rocket and firing missiles at UFOs, set against an astral backdrop. Although only about 1500 were made, Computer Space was one of the first commercially available arcade video games and would pave the way for the video game industry.

The unit appears to have all of its original electronics intact and includes the original cathode ray tube monitor—only the change routing and bucket (or “gas can”) has been removed.
