Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates. Windows on the World / World Trade Center One / New York City, New York. New York, 17 July 1995. Subtitled: "106TH FLOOR PACKAGE."

A set of diazo prints of the final renovation of Windows of the World at the top of World prior to the attack of 11 September 2001. The renovations were, ironically, spurred by the closure of the restaurant in the wake of the 1993 truck bombing of the World Trade Center complex. Although the restaurant was not damaged in that attack, its closure in part compelled Hilton International gave up its lease on the space. In May 1994, the Port Authority of New York and new Jersey announced that Joseph Baum and Michael Whiteman had been selected as the new operators of Windows on the World. The pair embarked on a $25 million renovation that began in earnest in the summer of 1995, and reopened to much fanfare in the summer of 1996.

The present plans cover all aspects of the redesign of the 106th floor of the two-story facility, divided into quadrants, including floor plans, elevations, plumbing, ventilation, electrical, communications, finishes and fire suppression. While the main dining area occupied the 107th floor, 106 was home to the more casual "Celler in the Sky" (renamed "Wild Blue" in 1999), as well as the main reception area, coat room, kitchen facilities and locker rooms, offices and private dining rooms.

95 pages (inclusive of cover page), 452 x 608 (Occasional marginal chips, soiling, and dampstains, mainly on cover and verso of final page). With aluminum binding spine.
