GEORGE III (1738-1820). Autograph letter signed ("George R.") as King of England, to an unnamed correspondent, Windsor Castle, 6 September 1780.

One page, bifolium, 190 x 135mm, with integral address leaf and red wax seal (a few ink stains, unevenly toned at left, some marginal tears reinforced with tape)

Regarding the succession of "the Earl of Pembroke as one of the Lords of the Bedchamber." In full: "Lord Ashburnham will write the usual letter of notification to Lord Onslow for succeeding the Earl of Pembroke as one of the Lords of the Bedchamber, and one to Lord Boston as Successor to the Earl of Pomfret. If they can be at St. James's on Wednesday the 13th it would be proper."
