LAMB, Charles (1775-1834). Two works, 1825 & 1834.

Two scarce American imprints, with very distinguished provenance.
1. Mr. H. or Beware a Bad Name. A Farce in Two Acts as performed at the Philadelphia Theatre. Philadelphia: Thomas A. Palmer, 1825. 12mo. Sewn gatherings. Custom chemise and morocco pull-off case. Provenance: Robert Borthwick Adam, 1833-1904 (his morocco Johnsonian bookplate on title-page and a partially legible Buffalo, NY inkstamp) – A. Edward Newton, 1864-1940 (bookplate to chemise). – John Dozier Gordon, 1907-1968 (bookplate to chemise).
2. Elia. New York: Geo. Dearborn, 1835. Octavo. Original printed blue wrappers (minor sunning and chipping, offsetting from bookplate). Cloth slipcase. Provenance: Silvain S. Brunschwig (his morocco bookplate).
