    First edition, in BAL’s first binding, with the Robert Brothers imprint to foot of spine and Myerson’s Binding B in olive cloth with all edges gilt. BAL 4661.

    Octavo. (Offsetting to endpapers from dust jacket.) Original olive green gilt-stamped pictorial cloth, top edge gilt (small stain to lower corner of front cover). Unprinted tan dust jacket (silked, numerous repairs). Custom clamshell box. Provenance: May Evans (ownership inscription to front endpaper) – Louis Putnam Turco (blindstamp to title page) – another ownership inscription to front pastedown, dated 1969.
