1990 - Characteristically very similar to the 1988 vintage, 1990 displays a balanced and well rounded wine. Elegant with aromas of black fruits and refined tannins.

1991 - A significant year for Masseto, Michael Rolland was hired as the estate consultant. Known in Bordeaux as the wine 'magician' - Rolland supports the estate with ensuring the wines have a unique texture and flavour. One could argue that Masseto's unique, distinctive and inimitable silky smoothness is owed solely to Rolland.
