Level into neck, New slightly damaged wax capsule with HGB seal. Stenciled bottle. Bottled from demi john in 2023 by Francisco Albuquerque

Tasting note: Softly rich subtle nose of dried fruits, with a fine orange zest aroma. Spice cake and straw notes complete the attractive nose. Intense broad palette with a rich almost unctuous start, remarkable for a Verdelho to have this immediate intensity. As the fruits fade the long acidity picks up and pulls through. Well balanced the charm of the nose is echoed in the taste, saline and juicy finish. A beautiful 1848. 95p. Tasted November 2024. Edwin Vos.
